After the long winter months are over and spring time begins, it can be tempting to book a getaway to sunnier climates during the Easter holidays to soak up some rays before summer begins. However, it is important to keep your family safe on your sun-filled retreat – we wrote a blog post covering everything you need to know! Armed with this knowledge, here are our top 5 getaways to enjoy with your family this Easter:

 

Where: Malta

Weather:  The island of Malta is known for its hot weather, yet in April it is warm enough to enjoy without your winter coat, without constantly searching for shade! High temperatures are 20 °C, with lows of 16 °C and there are eight hours of sun to safely enjoy.

What to do there:

• Visit the capital city of Valetta and explore the local shops and cafes
• Enjoy the hustle and bustle of the busy bus stations, and see the traditional rickety yellow busses
• Visit one of the many water parks such as the BuġibbaWater Park, the Splash & Fun Park and Sweethaven

Where: Prague

Weather:  With highs of 14°C but lows of 4, the weather is a little unpredictable in Prague but the magic to be found in the ‘city of castles’ certainly makes up for a spot of grey clouds!

What to do there:

• Gather in the market square and watch the performance of the Astronomical clock
• Act like a king or a queen at the grand Prague Castle
• Explore the historic city in a modern way with a Segway tour of Prague

 

Where: Paris

Weather: Spring brings with it warmer weather for Paris as the chance of rainfall lowers, making way for high temperatures of 16°C and lows of just 11°C.
