Where: Malta
Weather: The island of Malta is known for its hot weather, yet in April it is warm enough to enjoy without your winter coat, without constantly searching for shade! High temperatures are 20 °C, with lows of 16 °C and there are eight hours of sun to safely enjoy.
What to do there:
- Visit the capital city of Valetta and explore the local shops and cafes
- Enjoy the hustle and bustle of the busy bus stations, and see the traditional rickety yellow busses
- Visit one of the many water parks such as the BuġibbaWater Park, the Splash & Fun Park and Sweethaven
- Explore creepy caves such as Ninu’s Caves and Xerri’s Grotto, or even the Ghar Dalam Cave, full of ancient fossils
Where: Tenerife
Weather: Slightly warmer than Malta, Tenerife can reach 22°C in April, with mild lows of 15°C. There are eight hours of sun yet a small chance of rain, so umbrellas are essential!
What to do there:
- Get up close and personal with parrots (over 350 species) and other animals at the Loro Parque
- Make a splash at the Siam Park – the biggest theme park on the island!
- Let local character, Georg, show you how traditional porcelain dolls, teddy bears and other toys are made at the captivating Artlandya museum
Where: Prague
Weather: With highs of 14°C but lows of 4, the weather is a little unpredictable in Prague but the magic to be found in the ‘city of castles’ certainly makes up for a spot of grey clouds!
What to do there:
- Gather in the market square and watch the performance of the Astronomical clock
- Act like a king or a queen at the grand Prague Castle
- Explore the historic city in a modern way with a Segway tour of Prague
Where: Paris
Weather: Spring brings with it warmer weather for Paris as the chance of rainfall lowers, making way for high temperatures of 16°C and lows of just 11°C.
What to do there:
- No family holiday to Paris would be complete without spending a day or two at the magical Disneyland Paris! (Currently celebrating its 25th anniversary, with lots of discounted offers to enjoy)
- Continue the Disney theme and search for the Hunchback at the real Cathédrale Notre Dame de Paris
- Enjoy a traditional marionette puppet show at Les Marionnettes Du Champ de Mars
- Make learning interactive at the fun yet educational science museum, Cité des Sciences
Where: Mallorca (Majorca)
Weather: Like Tenerife, Mallorca can reach up to 19°C during the Easter break, with lows of 12°C. It has around 10 hours of sunshine to enjoy, so make sure to read our sun safety blog post before you go!
What to do there:
- Take a dive at Hidropark, a bustling water and amusement park in Port d’Alcúdia
- Spot an eerie gargoyle at the picturesque Cathedral, located in Palma de Mallorca
- Enjoy a bike ride around the Parc Natural de S’Albufera, and spot some birds while you are at it!
