Top 4 UK Easter Breaks for Under 10s

The Easter holidays are on the horizon which means it’s now time to start thinking about how you will be keeping your kids preoccupied during their time off. Luckily, there are lots of fantastic Easter break options for families with kids under 10 in the UK – read on to find out what they are.

A Seaside Break

Although it might not be the warmest over the Easter period, the sun should be shining and a trip to the seaside is always a hit with the under 10s. Whether you take a visit to Cornwall, Blackpool, Brighton, Scarborough or Skegness, there are some great seaside resorts around the country that are popular with young families. Treat your little ones to a donkey ride on the beach, grab an ice cream or enjoy the amusements – there’s so much to do on a seaside break. A weeklong hotel stay for a family of four to Cornwall will cost you around £600-£2000.

Fun in the Forest

If a forest adventure is more your family’s thing, then why not make use of the many beautiful forests around the country and spend your Easter break in one of them? Center Parcs has villages in Sherwood Forest, Elveden Forest, Longleat Forest, Woburn Forest and Whinfell Forest, so no matter where you’re based, there’s an option for you that should be within a few hours’ drive. There are dozens of different activities available for both kids and grown-ups alike, and the price for a family of four for a week is around £1900-£2900, depending on the type of lodge you stay in.

City Sights

City lovers rejoice – there are lots of options for Easter breaks for under 10s in the big smoke too. London is a hub of activity and that means there is a plethora of ways to keep the kids entertained, including a look around The Natural History Museum, a ride on the London Eye, a visit to the Queen at Buckingham Palace or even a tour of the Tower of London. Many of the attractions are free, too. For a hotel stay for a week for a family of four, expect to budget around £600-£2000.

Theme Park Fun

A theme park break is a great option for young families because there is just so much to do – the majority of theme parks have a mixture of adrenaline junkie rides and rides for small children, so you can enjoy the best of both worlds. There are theme parks dotted around the country, including Alton Towers, Thorpe Park, Chessington World of Adventures and Drayton Manor. Prices vary depending on theme park and whether you choose to stay on-site or off.
